One of the defining moments in his career came in 2021, when “POP IT!” was flagged Gold by MediaBase, signifying that the record achieved significant and sustained radio airplay before moving into recurrent rotation. Since then, Killa D has continued to elevate his profile through high-impact performances and industry recognition. In 2024, he performed for the Denver Dynasty semi-professional basketball organization, entertained crowds during the Houston Texans NFL Tailgate, and took the stage at Johnny Dang’s Jewelry Store Halloween event, expanding his reach to diverse audiences beyond traditional concert venues.

Additionally, TuneCore recognized “POP IT!” as a Top Release, with the achievement receiving acknowledgment from the company’s CEO.

Award recognition soon followed. Killa D earned nominations for Best Male Hip Hop at the Carolina Music Video Awards and received additional honors through the Yo! ATL Raps One Mic Awards, reflecting the growing respect he has earned among industry peers.

His momentum has continued throughout 2026, bringing even greater visibility to his career. “POP IT!” debuted at Dirty Boxing (DBX), hosted by UFC legend Jonny Bones, while also being featured by respected publications including BuzzMusicLA, Rolling Hype, and 24HipHop. One of the year’s biggest highlights came when the “POP IT!” music video was selected as a BET Awards Weekend Artist Spotlight Sponsorship, providing another significant platform for the independent artist. Killa D also returned to the pages of Voyage Houston Magazine, earned additional nominations at both the Carolina Music Video Awards and the Hip Hop Culture Awards, and celebrated a major sync licensing opportunity when “POP IT!” was placed in Jocasta’s Life Journey, where he was also featured as a highlighted artist.
