About The Legacy Magazine MS
Local Stories. Real Impact. Lasting Legacy.
We’ve created this page to give readers, contributors, and community members a clear understanding of what The Legacy Magazine MS is, why it exists, and who we exist for.
Who Started The Legacy Magazine MS

Hi, I’m Chantal Taylor, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Legacy Magazine MS.
The Legacy Magazine MS was born out of purpose, resilience, and a deep love for community. I’ve always believed that everyone has a story worth telling — not just the celebrities, influencers, or those with large platforms, but the everyday people who are building, surviving, creating, healing, and leading quietly.
My journey hasn’t been easy. I am a mother, entrepreneur, creative, cancer survivor, and first-generation college graduate. I’ve experienced setbacks that could have stopped me, but instead they shaped me. Through every challenge, I realized how powerful storytelling can be — especially when people finally feel seen, heard, and valued.
I started The Legacy Magazine MS to create a space where real people could tell their stories in their own words — without being overlooked, minimized, or boxed into one definition of success. This platform is about honoring journeys, celebrating resilience, and documenting legacy in real time.
The Legacy Magazine MS is not just a publication — it’s a movement.
Our Mission & Vision
We believe our communities thrive because of:
Small business owners Creatives and artists Entrepreneurs and dreamers Community leaders Survivors, builders, and risk-takers
Our mission is to amplify untold stories, highlight purpose-driven individuals, and preserve legacies that deserve recognition.
We aim to:
Encourage people to support local brands, creatives, and entrepreneurs Inspire others by sharing real journeys — including struggles, growth, and wins Build community through storytelling, not competition
We believe when people understand the why behind someone’s journey, they are more likely to support them, connect with them, and grow together.
How We Are Different From Traditional Magazines
Stories Told in Their Own Words
Our features are primarily interview-based, allowing individuals to share their experiences authentically — without heavy editing that strips away their voice.
We Are Not a News Outlet
We do not cover breaking news, politics, or sensational headlines. Our focus is people, purpose, and impact.
Inclusive, Not Exclusive
We do not believe in gatekeeping exposure. You don’t need thousands of followers or a viral moment to be featured. We highlight both emerging and established individuals across all walks of life.
Real Over Perfect
We embrace authenticity over polish. Success doesn’t look the same for everyone, and we don’t believe stories should be filtered to appear flawless. Growth is messy — and that’s okay.
Community-Driven Platform
The Legacy Magazine MS is powered by real people, contributors, and community members who believe in the mission. We collaborate with creatives, writers, photographers, and partners who align with our values.
Our Values
Authenticity – Real stories, real voices Diversity – We proudly feature people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences Empowerment – We uplift, encourage, and inspire Legacy – We document stories that will matter tomorrow, not just today
You’ll find entrepreneurs, artists, survivors, community leaders, creatives, and everyday people who are building something meaningful — often against the odds.

If you participate in a feature or interview:
Your responses and photos are used only for your feature and its promotion We do not sell or share your personal information Your story belongs to you — we simply help amplify it
We may reach out in the future regarding:
Follow-up features Special projects Events or collaborations
You may opt out of communication at any time.
Where We Are Based
The Legacy Magazine MS is based in Mississippi, but our reach is national and growing. We work with contributors, creatives, and featured individuals from across the country.
Thanks to digital platforms, our team and community collaborate remotely while remaining deeply connected to local culture and voices.
Why We Ask for Recommendations
We believe storytelling power should belong to the people — not just an editorial board.
By accepting recommendations, we:
Discover hidden gems Highlight voices that may otherwise be overlooked Allow the community to help shape who gets featured
This ensures our platform remains authentic, diverse, and reflective of real life.
What Excites Us the Most
Nothing excites us more than watching people we’ve featured:
Grow their business Heal and step into purpose Gain confidence Be recognized for their impact
We are honored to document journeys in real time — especially when someone is in the middle of becoming who they’re meant to be.
We Can’t Wait to Share Your Story
If you have a story, a vision, a journey, or a legacy you’re building — The Legacy Magazine MS is for you.
This is more than a feature.
This is history being written.
Welcome to The Legacy.
