Dr. Linda J. M. Holloway does not merely wear titles—she lives them. College professor. Author. Advocate. Colonel (Ret.). Each role represents a chapter in a life defined by service, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to empowering others.
With more than three decades in higher education, Dr. Holloway has shaped minds, nurtured futures, and advanced scholarship as a Counselor Educator and Associate Professor at Alabama State University. Her work extends far beyond the classroom. As a researcher, her focus on Black women’s mental wellness and career counseling for Black children addresses gaps long ignored, offering culturally grounded insight and hope where it is most needed.
Before retiring as a Colonel in the United States Army Reserves Medical Service Corps, Dr. Holloway served her country for over 27 years, completing four combat tours of duty. Her military career reflects discipline, courage, and leadership under pressure—qualities that continue to inform her work today. Though retired from uniform, her commitment to service remains active and deeply rooted. Her life motto, Always Willing to Serve, is not symbolic—it is practiced daily.
Dr. Holloway is also a storyteller in the truest sense. As a spoken word artist, story activist, and multi-award-winning children’s book author, she understands the power of narrative to heal, affirm, and liberate. Through her eight award-winning children’s books, she creates space for social-emotional literacy and courageous conversations, helping children name their feelings, honor their identities, and imagine futures without limitation.
That same vision fuels her platform, Women Without Limitations, where Dr. Holloway encourages women to discover, embrace, and live out their God-ordained destiny. Her life philosophy—Dream Your Own Dreams—is both a call to action and a lived testimony. She does not ask others to walk paths she herself has not traveled. Instead, she models what it looks like to dream boldly, serve faithfully, and lead with integrity.
Even in her quiet moments, Dr. Holloway remains rooted in purpose. Whether reading, running, enjoying a film, or spending time with family and friends, she continues to pour into others—educating, empowering, and elevating those around her in visible and unseen ways.
Dr. Linda J. M. Holloway’s legacy is not confined to rank, resume, or recognition.
