From the vibrant streets of Miami, Florida, emerges YSAK EMPRISS — an independent powerhouse whose very name, an acronym for “You Should Already Know,” reflects both her unapologetic confidence and undeniable presence in today’s hip-hop scene. Formerly known as Madam Empriss, her evolution as an artist has been anything but conventional, with each chapter shaping her sound, sharpening her message, and amplifying her mission.
With over five years of experience on and off the mic, YSAK Empriss embodies resilience and ambition. She wrote her first song at just 16, even penning a verse she once imagined Bow Wow would perform — an early glimpse of her far-reaching vision. That drive led her to collaborations with Thunderminds Entertainment and Boomman AE of Authentic Empire, before ultimately choosing independence. Today, she’s signed to UCA Records (Underground Crowned Artists), working alongside partner label Ruthless Killa Records, and distributed through Empire — while proudly maintaining 100% ownership of her music.

Her growing discography captures both grit and vulnerability. Tracks like “Grind All Day,” “You Should Already Know,” and “My Do” showcase her unrelenting work ethic, while her remix “Go Low” featuring FS Rudy & FOTN infuses strip-club energy with her identity as a proud lesbian artist. On “Foot On Their Neck,” she addresses critics directly, cementing her stance as a fearless voice in Southern rap.
Music runs deep in YSAK’s bloodline. She is related to blues legend B.B. King, boxer Larry Holmes, and has family ties to Kool & the Gang and media icon Donnie Simpson. Her father, Tyrone Watson, was drafted to the Philadelphia Eagles in 1990 — a legacy of discipline and determination that continues through her career. Even her first performance — at Club Divas in Germany during her military service — reflects her global mindset and relentless drive.

Her influences span hip-hop greats and beyond: Tupac, Missy Elliott, Megan Thee Stallion, Lauryn Hill, DJ Khaled, Jay-Z, OutKast, and even pop superstar Justin Bieber. Inspired by timeless storytelling and originality, she envisions working with producers like DJ Khaled, Zaytoven, Drumma Boy, and Nitty on the Beat, and has set her sights on one day performing at the BET Awards — a stage she believes is her destiny.
Looking ahead, YSAK is gearing up for her “YSAK Empriss Social Media Cross Country Tour” in summer 2025, alongside the release of a highly anticipated EP. Her motto, “Only A Try Beats A Fail,” drives everything she does — a testament to her fearless pursuit of success.
Whether challenging norms, building her empire, or delivering raw truth in the booth, YSAK Empriss is proving one thing beyond doubt: the world should already know her name.
