Before stepping into the business world, Jones was deeply committed to mental health and social work. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Thee Jackson State University in Jackson, MS, and went on to complete her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The University of West Alabama in Livingston, Alabama. Today, she continues her work as a Mental Health Therapist while pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor, with a mission to raise awareness about mental health, particularly within African American communities.
Jones’s entrepreneurial journey began in 2017 with the launch of Thee Queen K Brand Boutique Extensions. With minimal business experience and a tendency toward self-doubt, she learned through trial and error, discovering the power of branding and promotion. By leveraging tools like Canva for eye-catching social media content and distributing business cards locally, Jones transformed her passion into a thriving brand that has now celebrated seven years of success.
Her leap into cosmetics was equally ambitious. With Thee Queen K Brand Boutique Cosmetics, she overcame personal obstacles, poured in hard work, prayers, and financial investment, and created a product line that reflects her dedication to excellence. Each venture has been a testament to her belief in self-sufficiency, proving that vision combined with persistence yields results.
In 2023, Jones expanded her horizons yet again by becoming an Independent Travel Agent with Inteletravel, launching Travel with Queen K. For her, travel is a form of therapy—a chance to explore, connect, and inspire. Through this venture, she encourages others to see the world and embrace new experiences, blending her love for business with her passion for personal growth.
Looking forward, Jones plans to broaden her reach, create mentorship programs for young entrepreneurs, and establish scholarships for higher education and vocational training. Her ultimate goal is to empower others to achieve success on their own terms.
